Dear Friends and Partners,
As for all of us, this has been a crazy year. Just one more reminder of how our world can change so suddenly and how fragile life and society can be. It's also a reminder of all the things we appreciate in life.
We at BluOcean are grateful and consider ourselves lucky. Despite all the challenges, we were able to continue and grow our business. During 2020 we managed to double our team of associates across the region. We are proud to say that we now have people on the ground in Chengdu, Beijing, Shanghai, Manila, Singapore, Bangalore, and Hyderabad.
We are also happy to report the growth of our customer base by nearly 50%. This includes leading high-tech companies, pharma tech, and international schools. It feels like our little family is growing and growing, and for that, we are grateful.
We have experienced more than expected demand for our consulting services, including system design, tender management, and quality control. More and more customers around Asia are taking advantage of these valuable services to improve their security operations and achieve more with less. We are very proud of this service and happy our customers are benefiting from this.
During 2020 there was an increased momentum of integrating and incorporating cloud tech with mainstream security systems and services. As these new technologies continue to improve and evolve, and as more and more customers understand the direct benefits, we expect to see more demand from the market. This feels like the days before digital video exploded. With this new technical momentum, we are excited about all the new possible applications, solutions, and value we can offer to our customers. The era of cloud and big data is here. One cannot fight gravity.
In 2021 we will earnestly continue building our service capacity around the region to provide additional value to our growing customer base. As the pandemic slowly gets under control and the world learns how to live in this new global reality, we foresee more economic activity and investment. BluOcean will continue to expand capacity and be fully ready to service customers around the Asia Pacific.
